Leadership
The church here in Sheep Street is led by a full time minister (Paul White), assisted by up to 9 men and women who serve as deacons.
At the moment there are 7 deacons Alex, Chris, David (the Church Secretary), John (the treasurer), Kirsty, Richard and Veronica. (See our pictures below).
In addition to this, there are many leaders of the various activities within the church.
As a Baptist church, we believe all members should be involved in the running of church activities, and have a say in the church's direction via regular members meetings.
This is part of our communal commitment to each other.

Paul White is our minister, he is married to Linda and they have 5 children.
Paul has served as an evangelist at Pembury Baptist church, and as assistant pastor at Tunbridge Wells Baptist Church.
He was trained at Spurgeons college, London. |

Alex is married to Karen and they live in Devizes.
He has been a member of the church since 1999 and has served as a housegroup and Crusader leader.
He works as a civil servant in Swindon. |
| Chris |

Chris is 60 years old and is a self employed bricklayer.
He has been married to Margaret for 7 years.
Chris has been coming to Sheep Street Baptist Church for approximately seventeen years and was baptized in 1993.
He became a deacon three and a half years ago and is a member of the pastoral care team.
Chris plays the drums in our worship group and also sings.
He also composes contemporary Gospel songs and has recorded two C.D.s

David is our Church Secretary.
Married to Elaine they have two children - Caroline and David Jnr.
David is Group Managing Director of a national gas service provider who repair, service and install gas central heating |
| John |

Married to Liz, with three children, Claire, Becky & Ben, all of whom take an active part in the Church activities.
John is an Accountant working in Swindon, and the Church Treasurer.
He is also a member of the Church music group. |
| Kirsty |

 |
Kirsty is married to Damian and lives in Devizes. She has two sons, Peter and Christopher.

| Richard |

 |
Richard is married to Heidi and they have two children: Rosie and Polly.
He is a Town Planner, and is based in Swindon.
Richard oversees the Church's House Groups and the Weekly Prayer Meetings.

| Veronica |
|
 |
Veronica is married to Steve, they have 2 grown up children, both married, and 2 grand children.
She has recently returned to Wiltshire after 20 years at Ruislip Baptist Church, having been a house group and small group leader.
She enjoys long walks in the country side.
